A. Tow truck brake system layout
Chinese tow truck brake system impact tow truck security greatly. In chassis modification, driving brake, park brake and auxiliary brake system should be in accordance with below requirement: brake pipes and other moving part should have sufficient free space to avoid interference and to avoid system moving hoses and metal pieces friction, if necessary, additional protective equipment is needed; pump storage arrangements should pay attention to inspection and drainage requirement.
B. Additional gas consumption of the device layout
Tow trucks have gas powered components, they need gas. Gas can supplied by chassis braking system or air pipe, but air consumption calculation are needed. For large volume and high pressure air consumption, attached auxiliary gas tank are needed. Auxiliary gas tank should be connected with chassis brake system through anti-return loop, so that if auxiliary tank failure in accident, that will not impact truck brake system.
C. tow truck electrical devices arrangement
Tow truck has many attached electrical components, they can be connected to chassis circuit directly, but if power generator and battery don’t have enough power, generator or battery should be enlarged. All electrical appliances should be grounded. If electrical cord is extended, extended wire should be the same color and model, and connected with connectors or post. If electrical wire is through frame, special device, wire should be protected.
D. Tow truck fuel tank arrangement
Fuel tank is often relocated components during chassis modification, new tank and fuel pipe location should keep away from exhaust pipe, and min 300 mm is needed, or isolation material is needed.
