Fire trucks basic knowledge and classification
Fire trucks general chassis classification:
Light chassis loader: 500-3000kg, car chassis, Jeep chassis and light truck chassis.
Medium chassis loader: 5000-6500kg, medium truck chassis
Heavy chassis loader: more than 8000kg, heavy truck chassis
Fire trucks engine requirement.
1, Better engine for heavy duty fire trucks are diesel engines.
2, Fire trucks engine can start and continuous working at normal condition, if necessary, cold start device should be applied.
3, Fire truck engine must be equipped with maximum speed control devices, to ensure engine safety, trucks should be equipped with engine speed table also.
4, Exhaust emission pipe and exhaust air heat can not impact device and operation instrument.
Fire engine cab requirement
Cab must be installed ventilation, heater equipment. Front wind should use safety glass windows, and equipped with defrosting equipment and water wipers. Car dashboard right side should install fire instrument assembly and communications equipment location. Standard flat cab should have overture structure. Flip angle of not less than 45 degrees.
If fire trucks cab modified, modified cab must reach previous cab strength, stiffness and reliability.
